WHAT IS THE INTEGRATIVE ASSESSMENT TECHNIQUE?

Integrative Assessment Technique is an approach to assessing health through a muscle response testing application that started with Applied Kinesiology 25 years ago and has evolved to a sophisticated system allowing for the identification of structural, emotional and biochemical parameters. This technique is non-invasive and differs from other muscle testing techniques, by providing an academic model of cross-referencing capabilities to known diagnostics.

One of the many advantages of the Integrative Assessment Technique is its ability to rapidly assess the current status of a patient’s health, and to find the underlying, root cause of a particular health problem. By navigating specific sequences of the body’s reflexes, located on the surface of the skin, IAT uses a muscle response testing procedure. In addition, standard blood chemistries and other laboratory tests, as well as a thorough analysis of a patient’s history, are utilized in diagnosing organ or metabolic pathway dysfunctions.

IAT is a form of “lifestyle medicine” focusing on the application of environmental, medical, and motivational principles to the management of health problems (such as obesity or Type 2 diabetes). It is a system involving healthcare practitioners working together to develop a patient-specific intervention to help a patient change high-risk behaviors and adopt a lifestyle that will help reverse a condition and/or slow its progression. Lifestyle intervention is an essential component in the treatment of chronic disease that can be as effective as medication, while minimizing its risks and unwanted side-effects.
